Every component is covered for two years from the date of purchase. And we mean it—this warranty goes beyond manufacturing defects. It even covers accidental damage and installation mishaps, including incidents caused by your furry friends.

Warranty Coverage

LX1 products are warrantied for two years for the original purchaser, provided they are used properly. If your LX1 doesn’t function as expected under normal use, we will repair or replace it at our discretion and return it to you free of charge.*

Key Requirement:
To process any warranty claim, you must retain the unit. No matter its condition, even if it’s damaged, you need to hold onto the product for us to repair or replace it. If the unit is thrown away or discarded, there is no item to warranty, and we will be unable to honor your claim.

*International warranty replacement parts will be sent to the country of record for your LX1 order. For example, if you used a U.S.-based freight forwarder to ship the product to Brazil, replacement parts will be sent free to the U.S. address on record. If you'd like the parts sent to a different country, we’ll ask you to cover the international shipping costs.

What’s Covered

Our warranty terms are designed to be flexible and customer-focused. The following scenarios are fully covered, even if they happen accidentally:

• Dead on Arrival (DOA) Units: If your product doesn’t work right out of the box.
• Installation Mishaps: Issues caused by incorrectly applying the strip or using an unsuitable surface (e.g., uneven, dusty, or oily surfaces).
• Accidental Damage: Damage caused by bending the strip too far, dropping it, or even your pet chewing through it.
• Power Supply Issues: Problems caused by connecting the product to a compatible power supply that fails.

Improper Use (Not Covered)

Our warranty is here to support you, but it does have limits. Improper use may be covered once as a courtesy, but repeated occurrences could void the warranty. Examples of improper use include:

• Intentional Damage: Purposely damaging the product, such as burning it or cutting it beyond supported lengths.
• Compromising the Product: Applying substances like paint or adhesives that interfere with functionality.
• Unsupported Modifications: Altering the strip or components outside of guidelines, such as soldering to fixtures or attempting extreme customizations.
• Exceeding Voltage Limits: Using a power supply that exceeds the voltage specified for the strip. (Note: Some remote controls may operate across a wider voltage range than the strips themselves.)
• Excessive Moisture: Using the product outdoors or in wet environments without proper weatherproofing.
• Incompatible Accessories: Damage caused by using third-party power supplies, dimmers, or other accessories not recommended for use with LX1.

Improper use cases shall be covered the first time as a courtesy. However, repeated or extreme misuse might not qualify for coverage. Please note that shipping costs for issues resulting from improper use are the customer’s responsibility. Following installation and usage guidelines helps ensure optimal performance and longevity.

Shipping Policy for Replacements

• First 90 Days: For DOA units or accidental damage (e.g., "I broke my strip" or "my cat attacked it"), we cover the cost of shipping replacement parts internationally during the first 90 days from the date of purchase.
• After 90 Days: Customers are responsible for covering the shipping costs for replacements sent internationally.

We aim to make the replacement process as fair and seamless as possible.

• Repair or replacement is the sole remedy under this warranty.
• If a product is discontinued, we reserve the right to replace it with a comparable product of equal value and function.
• Proof of purchase is required, and this warranty applies only to the original purchaser.

EXCEPT AS PROVIDED HEREIN, THERE ARE NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

LX1 SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES WHATSOEVER.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary by state or jurisdiction. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or implied warranties, so the above limitations may not apply to you.
